Profesor Engleskog jezika i književnosti

I am  a teacher of English, a sworn (court-appointed) translator and a sworn lover of literature, accurate and true to the best of my knowledge. Truth be told, even though I enjoy teaching immensely, I teach to live, but I live to translate poems and stories. I'm painfully aware that my contributions to the art of translating are miniscule (or minuscuIe), but I'm not annoyed at Life getting in the way of my passionate preoccupation. And the joy of selecting translations which my own tastes impose is beyond translation… Just as Emily Dickinson's poems are…

‘We never know how high we are

Till we are called to rise;

And then if we are true to plan

Our statures touch the skies— …’

(Emily Dickinson – 1830-1886)
